Styling Tips And Tricks
- Keep The Weather In Mind.
No matter what your plans are this Thanksgiving, one of our top tips is to take the weather into consideration. Are you traveling somewhere cooler or warmer than you normally are? Are you having a daytime affair or an evening dinner? Will you be inside or outside? These are all things to consider when picking your look. Layer shackets over dresses and tops for afternoon festivities and crop tops and tights under pieces where applicable for even more added warmth!
2. Remember Your Comfort
We firmly believe that you look your best when you are comfortable! Are you hosting? Try avoiding uncomfortable shoes and heavy pieces that you’ll get hot in going back and forth to the kitchen. Stepping out of your comfort zone is amazing, but resist wearing something that will make you self-conscious. Last but not least, leave the ultra tight pants at home and make sure you save room for dessert!
3. Consider Your Audience And Type Of Event
As much as we love you in your Tiki Girl mini dresses and crop tops, we know there are some occasions where you may want a more meet the parents/kiss your grandma type of look. Whatever your reasons are, remember who you are going to be seeing at this event. Other things to keep in mind are the type of event this will be and the dress code. You don’t want to show up to a formal event in your favorite shacket. (P.S.- If you can't leave the mini dress at home, keep reading for styling tips on how to make them holiday chic!)
The holidays don’t always have to mean pulling out your finest! If you’re a casual girl or attending a low key event, we have the perfect pieces to help you still feel pulled together. Tips to make the most basic of pieces feel stylish include adding accessories like jewelry and a hat, picking pieces with unique silhouettes and textures, and of course layering. We are loving corduroy button-ups, plaid shackets, and quilted coats this fall and winter. A Lack Of Color hat, band tees, and flare pants add interesting details to make sure you can football and chill in style!

We love the versatility a dressy casual vibe allows when styling a festive look! Mix and match your more casual and dressier pieces for a style that lands right in the middle. Fun patterns, unique cuts, and accessories are your best friend here. Animal prints, maxi skirts, sweaters, and dark wash denim reign supreme for style trends this holiday season and we have styles to compliment them all. Layer a kimono over a cute crop top and jeans or a dress with layered necklaces for a fancier look. A satin or tone on tone button-up is the perfect piece to pair half-tucked into your favorite bottoms, just add a cute hat and layer with some of our super cute new jewelry in-store!

If you’re hoping to please the crowd with a dressier look this Thanksgiving, consider dresses and skirts! An easy way to knock out two trends with one look is to layer similar colored sweaters and skirts. Maxi skirts are ultra popular right now as is a monotone color palette. Sweater sets look great with mini skirts, just add tights and tall boots for a more family friendly look or to keep warm in cooler temperatures. Lastly, you can’t go wrong with a dress for a festive occasion. Try a floral peasant dress or a shimmery mini to make sure all eyes are on you! We also love the sweater dress trend. Find one with unique cut-outs, layer with a shacket, and pair with layered necklaces for a party ready style.
